Micro combined heat and power under the Energy Efficiency Commitment – Ofgem decision
Ofgem has published its decision document confirming that micro combined heat and power units will receive special treatment under the scheme, allowing them to count 50% more towards energy suppliers’ energy efficiency targets than comparable measures. However, Ofgem has stopped short at allowing any EEC credits to be granted yet, until both its type approvals procedure has been published, and the current field trials completed.
