Micropower Council appoints new Director of Policy
The Micropower Council announced today the appointment of Jan Devito as its new Director of Policy with effect from 1 January 2006. Jan will oversee the Council’s policy development work in the run up to publication and implementation of the government’s Microgeneration Strategy.
Jan has in depth knowledge of the UK electricity sector and its many challenges having worked for the industry for over 20 years in a range of technical, commercial, strategic and regulatory roles. For the last three years she has been providing consultancy services to a diverse portfolio of clients via her own company, Jade Energy Limited, and IPA Energy Consultancy where she also acts as advisor to the Chairman. This has included work for large and small companies/organisations and government bodies including provision of detailed advice to Government on improving microgeneration customers’ ability to access Renewables Obligation Certificates. Prior to this she was Director of Trading Development at St Clements Services during which time she was heavily involved in the development of the New Electricity Trading Arrangements and also served as an elected industry representative on the Balancing and Settlement Code Panel.
Jan will continue her relationship with IPA Energy and as Director of Jade Energy Ltd.
